RLR and Marlow Ropes have joined forces to launch our new Brand Ambassador Program for 2024! Four youth sailors from the Malta race scene were nominated and selected to represent both brands through their sailing endeavours this season. We’re thrilled to announce that our representatives for 2024 are:

Lara Merten and Ben Vassallo for the ILCA Laser class and Aleksandra Nagrudnaya and Thomas Wilson for the Optimist class.

This program aims to connect aspiring sailors with Marlow’s network of professional sailors and Olympic athletes while assisting them in their racing development through kit and support.

These talented individuals will be instrumental in guiding and inspiring the up and coming sailors in Malta. To kickstart the program, Marlow ropes and RLR Yachting organised  rigging workshops in January ahead of the Birzebbugga International Open which took place from February 1^st-4th. Each ambassador took the opportunity to create customised rigging parts for their respective boats, providing invaluable hands-on experience and knowledge guided by RLR Yachting’s Tom Ripard and Kristian Borg Nicholas Vertu.

As the race season is getting fully underway now in Europe we’re excited to watch our Ambassador’s next events. Lara Merten and Ben Vassallo are competing at the ILCA Europeans this coming week and Aleksandra Nagrundnaya is off to Valencia for her next Optimist competition in March.
