RLR is pleased to be running 2 free rigging seminars & workshops in March when Marlow Ropes expert Graham O’Connor visits Malta.

Workshop 1: 16th March at 6pm

Co-hosted by the Royal Malta Yacht Club, this evening will be primarily tailored for cruising yacht owners but everyone is welcome. Graham will cover:

– How to choose the best ropes for the right application;

– Best care for and maintain your ropes;

– Basic splicing to get the most out of your ropes;

– There will be a short splicing workshop after the talk over some drinks… make a soft shackle to take home with you!

Workshop 2: 17th March at 6pm at RLR Yachting in Gzira

This event is best suited for dinghy racers and racing yachts, but everyone is welcome.

Graham, Marlow Rope’s in-house expert will be joining us to discuss Marlow Rope’s incredible 200 year history of rope making and how they developed their world famous high performance dinghy lines and ropes.

We will also be running a practical, hands-on rigging workshop covering:

– Learning to make a Dyneema D12 eye splice

– Creating your own soft shackle

– Exploring how to use rope covers for better race results
